Emergency financial assistance available on a limited basis for items such as rent assistance and utility assistance. Each participating family can receive assistance once per year and there may be a waiting list. The church schedules 1 person per week and the wait list only schedules out one month at a time. Funds for approved individuals go out within 1 week after the appointment.
The SSVF program provides eligible veteran families with outreach, case management, assistance obtaining VA benefits, and other supportive services and financial assistance. Assistance can include:
- Rent/Utility assistance
- Rental/Utility deposits
- Motel Bill Payment Assistance
- Car repair - Bus Ticket
- Household goods and food
- Connection to VA resources/benefits
Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
Served in the military; earning less than 50% of median income
Emergency rental assistance, advocacy and mediation with landlords and information on landlord/tenant rights. One time, limited assistance with a utility or rent. Does not assist with mortgage payments. Case management provided for assistance connecting with other community resources.
