This agency operates the following programs:Clothing Center - Free clothing, 9:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Thursday   Commodities/Senior Box Program - People over 60 years old, with a low income can get a commodity once a month for 6 - 12 monthsDonations - Accepts a variety of donations. Will pick up donations if time permitEnergy Conservation - South Dakota Building Science Training Center provides energy conservation information to the community.Employment Assistance - Program offers grants up to $150.00 which enables clients to accept work that requires tools, uniforms, licensees, etc.Dakota Dream Saving Program - Assist families to obtain housing through a match savings program.Food Pantries - Low-income participants being eligible once a month for this service.Furnace Replacement - Replaced if furnace is unsafe, costs more than 50% of new furnace to repair, is outdated or is not cost efficient.Garden Kits - Available in April or May, kits consist of approximately 11 packets of seeds and live plants.Information & Referral - Available to help point people to programs who could help (ie. Financial Assistance:Utility assistance (gas, electric or water) that is at least 30 days past due and has a shut off notice (cannot do current bills). Will need copy of past due utility bill, proof of income and picture ID. Funds available on a first come, first serve basis. Non-Financial Assistance Programs:Food Pantry: For those needing assistance with food. Clothing Vouchers: For those needing assistance for Clothing. Assistance may only be given 1 time for every 6 months.Household Boxes:  For those needing assistance with items used to cook and eat a meal. The Apartment Lease must be shown to the Case-Worker in order to receive assistance.Assistance is limited according to what is available at the time.Pathway of Hope: Program for eligible families. Long term case management program to help families move beyond crisis into stability and becoming self-sufficient. Families will be required to meet with a caseworker to design a plan to meet goals, needs and objectives (ex. goal setting, assistance getting healthcare, educational opportunities, etc).

The Mobile Food Pantry, a program of Feeding South Dakota, distributes free food to individuals and families at General Beadle Elementary monthly.Each family receives approximately 30 pounds of food.The types of food distributed vary depending on what is available at the current time.Distributions operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Distributions occur outdoors. It is recommended to bring a container to carry groceries.Please do not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to distribution.Eligibility is self-declaration of meeting TEFAP income guidelines.
