Description
Provides financial assistance to people with Multiple Sclerosis. We consider providing Durable Medical and Mobility equipment to those with MS in Washington whose resources are seriously lacking and, or, are without adequate insurance, VA benefits or Medicare. We also consider urgent short-term needs such as help with utilities or rent. But do not assist in a long-term support role.

Eligibility
You must reside in Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska or Oregon You must have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis or one of the related MS type diseases which are Clinically isolated syndrome, e.g. optic neuritis; Diffuse cerebral sclerosis (including Schilderís Disease); Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (post-infectious Encephalomyelitis or ADEM); Baloís disease; Neuromyelitis optica (Devicís disease or Devicís syndrome); Transverse myelitis. And you must not have received financial assistance from us in the past two years from this request date.

Description
Provides limited financial assistance for rent, move-in costs, utilities and other essential needs; may have limited assistance for bus tickets. $100 max per request. Funds are sent directly to the landlord or utility company. Volunteers conduct an in-person interview to determine need. Participation in a local church-life group and finding Christian friends are encouraged through supportive conversations and/or written materials that are available but not required to receive help. Clients may receive assistance once every 12 months.

Eligibility
Permanent residents of the city of Shoreline ONLY (N of 145th St, S of 205th St) who can provide verification of need. Does not serve Lake Forest Park. Eviction or shut-off notice is NOT required. Does not give financial assistance for motel rent. All requests for aid are subject to the approval of the agency representative. Clients may receive assistance once every 12 months.
