Provides emergency hotel vouchers to people who are experiencing homelessness and living with HIV/AIDS. HOPWA Emergency Housing Program will be available to case managed clients needing targeted short-term housing. Clients will need to be seen by appointment and a case manager will need to come to initial appointment. Houses individuals up to 21 days with individuals being housed one week at a time. The shelter program represent the collaboration  of more than 120 congregations regionwide and 3,500+ volunteers who provide shelters, meals, access to showers and laundry for 250-275 homeless individuals between October and May each year. Shelter guests are screened and monitored by one of nine human services agencies regionwide and receive transportation assistance in addition to weekly case management, career planning and budgeting workshops. Shelter staff schedule, train, and monitor case management agencies and  sheltering and support congregations. Staff visit each shelter site and work closely with agency staff to enter data in HMIS on shelter guests. Branch orientation and wrap up meetings are scheduled in each of their seven branches as well as an annual volunteer orientation and thank you event.
