There are many homeless services in the Ozark, AL region, including shelters of all types, bathing facilities, and mail facilities. And, if you want to help, there are also volunteer opportunities available.
The Ark provides a 12 month residential program rooted in a bible-based curriculum for men and women. For the first six months, The Ark will provide room, board and all necessities at no cost. You must attend daily classes, receive counseling, engage in duties and obtain your GED. You are not allowed to be employed during the first 6 months.
For the second six months, you will be required to pay $108 per week for the duration of your stay. They will assist residents with enrolling in college, technical or vocational school, obtaining their driver's license, ID, job training, job placement, budget planning and more. Residents will have a mentor assigned to assist in their progression through our program.
The goal is for residents to become independent, contributing members of society.
