Description
Provides temporary emergency financial aid for help with rent payments and utility bill payments. Rent must be at least 30 days past due; utilities covered include electric, natural gas, propane, heating oil, water, and sewer. Payments are generally the amount needed to retain or restore service, although if that amount is large, the payment may not cover entire amount. Funds expire quickly. This is a program of last resort; clients cannot receive ongoing support from this program. Clients can receive rent or utility assistance once per year.

Eligibility
Residents of Holmes, Coshocton, Ashland, and Knox counties, whose rent is 30 days past due or who have a disconnect notice from their utility company. Family income must be less than 125% of the Federal Poverty Limit.

Photo I.D.; Social security card for each family member; Proof of residency, Proof of income for the past 13 weeks; disconnect notice from utility company or completed landlord form.
