Provides emergency financial assistance with rent, utilities, food and clothing.  Also provide back to school supplies and shoes, Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance to anyone residing in Collin county. Publishes a directory of human services connecting people and their needs, yearly and available for purchase.June is the month to register for the Tools for School program, for children ages 0 -18 in Plano ISD boundaries. Call 972-422-1850 for an appointment and to sign up for school supplies and shoe vouchers.  Distribution is Saturday, July 21 & 28, Saturday, Aug. 4, from 9:30am to 1:30pm.  All recipients must register.  October is the month to register for both Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance.  Registration begins over the phone by calling (972) 422-1850, Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.Documents required are IDs for all household members, proof of household income, and proof of residency (utility bill or lease) .

Provides one-time, emergency assistance for children's unmet needs. Provides financial assistance with: birth certificates, diapers, medical, dental, vision care, mental health expenses, medical equipment, prescriptions, tuition, glasses/contact lenses, local transit passes, and emergency child care expenses. Payment for services goes directly to service provider (doctor, hospital, dentist, etc.), not to the child or family. Family must apply before the service is rendered; Gill does not provide reimbursements. Provides three types of assistance to the residents in zip code neighborhoods of 76104, 76109, and 76110: financial assistance, transportation assistance, and self preservation assistance; Financial Assistance: Provides one-time emergency help with rent, utility bills and prescription medication (no narcotics or painkillers). Maximum rental assistance is $300 and maximum utility assistance is $150. Transportation Assistance: Provides gasoline vouchers and bus passes for the purposes of work, job interviews, medical appointments and appointments with other social service providers.   Self Preservation: Provides food, clothing, hygiene kits, and diapers.
