Programs: Please call for current program offerings and schedule. Services are available on-and off-site. Emphasis is on providing any family with resource information and referral to appropriate services. In addition, the YFRC serves the community as a true resource center. Families are encouraged to come and utilize the facility and its resources for asset-based community development. Bilingual (Spanish) services that are available include referrals to case management, parenting classes, teen parenting support group, on-site mental health services for children, women's group for discussion regarding life skills, domestic violence, etc., health insurance outreach and enrollment for all kinds of insurance. Other resources include a clothes give-away closet, parent education and child resource information library, children's books, Woodland Youth Council. Yolo Family Resource Center focuses on improving parenting skills by supporting families and communities through services and activities that will be directed by parent and community participation in YFRC operation. Target Group: Families in Yolo County. Non-English speakers welcome. Volunteers: Volunteer opportunities exist. Services Available: Child care provided for some services. Services Available: Will provide speaker to interested groups. Services Available: Mutual support groups.

Pregnancy testing: free, self-administered. Client is required to fill out forms and sign a statement of understanding. Service is confidential. Offers non-diagnostic, educational ultrasounds.Parenting education program, "The Mommy Buck", earn while you learn curriculum provides items of usefulness such as clothing for women and their babies, diapers, formula, and baby food as well as baby equipment and furniture.Clothes Closet: maternity wear, newborn to 2T. Baby furniture loaned out as needed, and then returned. Clients required to fill out a form, sign a policy statement.Parenting Classes: for first time parents and/or single parents addressing budgeting, independent living, child care, babies' needs, parents' needs, daily decision making, etc. Class is approximately 16-hours, scheduled to accommodate client.Abstinence Education Program: "Facts For Life" is a 16-hour program offered to groups, public schools.
