Description
COTS exists to alleviate homelessness by providing an array of services that enable people to achieve self-sufficiency and obtain quality affordable housing. COTS also exists to advocate for long-term solutions to the problems of homelessness.

COTS operates ftheir facilities and scattered-site rental housing. Programs and services include a 140-bed emergency shelter serving homeless men, women and children; 57 units of transitional single room occupancy (SRO)housing for single men and women; 23 units of permanent supportive SRO housing for single adults with disabilities; 30 units of transitional housing for women with children and single women; and 98 scattered-site rental units of permanent supportive housing for homeless individuals with disabilities and their families. Supportive services provided to their shelter guests and housing residents include case planning, licensed child care at two sites, parenting programs, tutorial and after-school programs for school-age children, adult literacy, computer labs, job readiness, job placement and retention services, substance abuse relapse prevention services, life skills, support groups, mental health and health care services and transportation.
