The Anita May Rosenstein Campus offers transitional housing for lesbian, gay, transgender, and bisexual people 18 to 24. Couples are allowed, but pregnant women, substance abusers, and violent people aren't. They provide three meals a day, and guests must look for work or go to school, and follow house rules, like no drugs or alcohol. Other services include case management, work and school opportunities, counseling, and independent life skills.

They also provide a day shelter for gay, lesbian, transgender, and bisexual people 12 to 24 in the Hollywood area, and they also have shower facilities, outreach programs, clothing, and toiletries.

Volunteer opportunities are available for people who want to help.

Description
The Youth Homeless Shelter offers emergency shelter for at risk, homeless, or runaway youths between 12 and 17 in the Los Angeles County, including LGBTQ youths, youths with behavior or medical condition who have mental or emotional disturbances, or felony records (as long as they do not harm anyone in the shelter).

The typical length of stay is 90 days, with the possibility of an extension, and there is no minimum length of stay. You can return as many times as you want.

The facilities are co-ed. When possible, the shelter tries to get parental permission. If they can't, then the shelter will be in contact with the DCFS for more assistance.

Applicants can't have any present involvement with the DCFS and parental consent is necessary within three days.

Other services include, but are not limited to, food, clothing and case management.

For anyone who wants to help, there are volunteer opportunities available.

Description
The Young Adult Transitional Living Program provides shelter for youths aged 18 to 24, including LGBT and former foster youths in Los Angeles County.

The program is 18 to 24 months. Housing is provided in apartments; facilities are co-ed and may be congregated. Participants must work part-time minimally or attend school, and enroll in a savings plan to allow them to live independently when they leave.

Secondary services include case management, permanent housing planning, mental health counseling, clothing, transportation, referrals for medical services, referrals for educational services, referrals for educational and vocational services, job development and internships in the community, mentoring, independent living skills, life coaching, mentoring and financial literacy.

Volunteer opportunities are appreciated.

Intake hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Youths aged 18 to 24. Applicants must not have any current DCFS involvement and meet HUD definition of homelessness.

The Family Emergency Shelter is a 90-day program for homeless families. Serves eight to ten families (between 24 to 30 individuals at any given time). Anyone who stays must understand that the program is a step to permanent housing and employment. Whoever resides won't have to pay rent, utility bills, or for meals.

Residents receive weekly case management, employment search assistance in our in house computer lab, referrals to temporary rent subsidies programs, teach structure and life skills, in-house mental health and counseling, and assistance/referral with any other needed services or support.

Volunteer work and donations are also accepted.

Description
The Center for Pacific Asian Family offers transitional shelter for abused women, with or without children. Children may be up to 17 years old; single women and mothers are accepted if in immediate danger. The average stay is six weeks.

They also accept women in emergency shelter for domestic violence or sexual assault. These applicants must be referred by their emergency shelter caseworker. People can stay up to one year.

Both shelter programs provide parenting classes, life skills, support groups, and other services. The women must be prepared to find work, attend job training, or attend classes. Any shelter resident must follow the communal living rules and shelter safe policies.

For anyone who wants to help, there are volunteer opportunities available.

Eligibility
For women who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their children. The shelter cannot accommodate women who have current substance abuse problems or suicidal or homicidal impulses.Services are targeted, but not restricted, to the Asian, Pacific Islander community.
