New Directions for Veterans provides rent payment assistance, rent deposit assistance, and electric payment assistance. The program provides housing for homeless veterans, or veterans who are at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Services include housing search assistance, personal financial counseling, job search/placement assistance, rental deposit assistance, rent payment assistance, and undesignated temporary financial assistance. The agency primarily assists the SPA 3 San Gabriel Valley area; however, there are no geographic restrictions.

Individuals need to have a 3 or 30 day eviction notice, a rental agreement under individuals name, be currently living in the city of Pasadena, have incoming income to show rent sustainability, and fall under the income limits. For information regarding qualifications for this program please call for a screening appointment. Please, no walk-ins.
