Description
The Elizabeth House provides faith-based shelter for pregnant women 18 and older who may have a child already, age five or younger. Women can stay for up to two months after their baby's birth. Services are mandatory and restricted to guests and include job skills, infant care classes, parenting classes, and other services. There is a $200 dollar fee at entry, and $100 dollar fee per month to be put in a transitional account.

For those who want to help, volunteer opportunities are available.

The St. Charles Borromeo Service Center provides free bathing facilities to the homeless of San Fernando Valley. Services can only be received once a week.

Hours
Thursday, 8:30am to 11:30am. Available on a limited basis.

Eligibility
Individuals and families including the homeless and the undocumented that live within the parish boundaries that extend north to Victory Blvd., south to Mulholland Dr., east to Hollywood Way, and West to Laurel Canyon.

Persons living outside our boundaries may receive assistance one time.

Description
Sojourn provides a domestic violence shelter for victims with or without children. The shelter accepts victims with dependent children, up to age 18; pregnant victims in any stage of pregnancy; victims involved in prostitution; victims who identify as LGBT; victims with HIV/AIDS; victims with mental disabilities, victims with disabilities; victims with caregivers; victims with service animals; and victims with mental health or substance.

Mentally-ill applicants are required to have a therapist.

Participants with substance-abuse issues must remain sober.

Applicants cannot work at their present job.

The length of stay is four to six week. There is also a second-stage shelter where the length of stay is 3 to 6 months.

Intake hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm; emergency intake may be provided on an individual basis.

For victims with or without children. The shelter accepts victims with dependent children, up to age 18. There are no geographic restrictions however, for safety reasons, the shelter usually does not accept victims who are Santa Monica residents, however this is decided on a case by case basis.

Description
The Annenberg Service Center provides homeless support services for single men and women, including those who are undocumented and those who are in or have been evicted recently evicted from housing in Santa Monica. Recently evicted families are referred to city programs that can assist them.

The agency provides specialized transitional housing through its recuperative care, parolee and veterans programs and referrals are required for these programs from county hospitals, social service agencies, HIV/AIDS-related agencies, the parole board or the Veterans Administration.

A special outreach project is provided for dually diagnosed, mentally ill substance abusers that provides case management and counseling.

If you are a chronically homeless veteran with at least three co-occurring disabilities (mental illness, substance abuse, medical and/or physical disability), you're eligible for the veterans outreach program which provides case management.

There is also a Night Lite outreach program which provides youth on the streets in the West Los Angeles area with food bags and referrals to social service programs.

If you're a woman, Daybreak is a mental health drop-in center and also provides short-term transitional housing.

Safe Haven is a transitional-housing shelter for anyone who is chronically homeless or mentally ill.

Turning Point is a transitional-housing shelter and can provide for up to 55 homeless men and women. Individuals can stay for up to 18 months, must participate in case management services, and save at least 60% of his or her income.

The Swashlock program provides 75 to 100 homeless individuals with a locker, daily showers, and weekly laundry room services. The program does not discriminate those who are employed and homeless. Participants are encouraged to take part in case management services.

The People Concern relies on the generosity of volunteers to provide these services. Volunteers and donations are widely appreciated.

Description
Su Casa provides emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence. They accept single men, single women, pregnant women, and their children of both genders and all ages. People with disabilities are accepted if they are ambulatory and can care for themselves. The emergency shelter is for 30 days. People are requested to take a leave of absence from their jobs during this time, and their children will attend a local school. Residents are expected to help with the daily chores and follow shelter rules and curfew. They provide clothing, food, and linens as needed.

Services include TRO assistance, individual counseling, group counseling, finding housing, financial assistance, and other services.

They have a transitional shelter for people who have finished the emergency program and it lasts six months. During the transitional program, adults can work and children can attend a public school. Residents must have a source of income and pay a security deposit which will be returned up on leaving, minus the cost of any repairs due to damage they caused. They are also placed on a budget to save 50% of their income. Savings are given to him or her up on leaving.

Their drop-in center offers general domestic violence information and resources. Anyone needing help can go and receive services such as counseling or assistance with finding shelter.

For anyone who wants to help, there are volunteer opportunities available.

For victims/survivors of domestic violence and their children. Children of any age are accepted. The shelters accepts victims/survivors of domestic violence who have been abused by a spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, by a heterosexual or gay partner, by a parent or by an adult child. Single men, single women and pregnant women are accepted. People with disabilities, including people who use wheelchairs, can be accommodated if they are ambulatory and able to care for themselves. Service is targeted, but not restricted, to residents of the Southeast area of Los Angles County; people fleeing a batterer from outside Southern California are considered on a case-by-case basis. There are no geographic restrictions.

Description
The Harvest Home provides shelter for pregnant women 18 and older in Los Angeles County. Pregnant women who are less than 32 weeks are eligible for the shelter. Women with children are not allowed.

While staying, clothing and meals are provided for the women, including for the infant. Women can stay for two months after the birth, but longer stays can be negotiated.

Residents must comply to house rules and assist in household chores and cooking. Women must be sober, not have any severe mental illness, and be able to live with other women. Residents should be able to work or attend school.

Other services include career counseling, counseling, child birth preparation, financial planning, infant care and parenting classes, independent living skills, nutrition education, referrals to health services, and financial assistance.

Intake can take up to two weeks.
