The Guadalupe Homeless Project Men's Shelter provides breakfast, dinner, and shelter for up to 45 men. The length of stay is up to 30 days, though if you complete the one month trial you may stay up to 90 more days for transitional purposes.

Residents are put into small groups and bi-monthly health care is provided. Other services include bible studies, rights counseling, ESL classes, housing services, and employment services.

Volunteer opportunities are available and an average of 1250 volunteers helped by sponsoring, serving meals, and coordinating workshops within the last year.

The La Posada Shelter provides shelter for males aged 18 to 24, including those in the foster care system. The shelter provides 12 beds. Residents are required to cooperate with their set goals, help with daily chores, and participate in group meetings.

Description
The Youth Homeless Shelter offers emergency shelter for at risk, homeless, or runaway youths between 12 and 17 in the Los Angeles County, including LGBTQ youths, youths with behavior or medical condition who have mental or emotional disturbances, or felony records (as long as they do not harm anyone in the shelter).

The typical length of stay is 90 days, with the possibility of an extension, and there is no minimum length of stay. You can return as many times as you want.

The facilities are co-ed. When possible, the shelter tries to get parental permission. If they can't, then the shelter will be in contact with the DCFS for more assistance.

Applicants can't have any present involvement with the DCFS and parental consent is necessary within three days.

Other services include, but are not limited to, food, clothing and case management.

For anyone who wants to help, there are volunteer opportunities available.

Description
The Young Adult Transitional Living Program provides shelter for youths aged 18 to 24, including LGBT and former foster youths in Los Angeles County.

The program is 18 to 24 months. Housing is provided in apartments; facilities are co-ed and may be congregated. Participants must work part-time minimally or attend school, and enroll in a savings plan to allow them to live independently when they leave.

Secondary services include case management, permanent housing planning, mental health counseling, clothing, transportation, referrals for medical services, referrals for educational services, referrals for educational and vocational services, job development and internships in the community, mentoring, independent living skills, life coaching, mentoring and financial literacy.

Volunteer opportunities are appreciated.
