Description
The Salvation Army Hospitality House provides food, clothing, bedding, linen, counseling, job search assistance, and integrated employment programs are included.

The Hospitality House is a 75-bed shelter where physical and spiritual comfort is given 24/7, all days of the year. No drugs, alcohol, or violent behavior is allowed. Residents must also be in by 5pm and are required to stay in the shelter. All residents must leave the shelter by 7am. There are two phases:

PHASE ONE:
This is the first intake program where men can stay up to 21 days per visit to help them get out of homelessness. If they want to stay again in the first phase they must leave for at least 45 days. Food, clothing, and services are free.

PHASE TWO:
Phase Two is a 30 to 90 day program where the guests who have finished Phase One can apply to stay longer. Residents in Phase Two search for employment, maintain steady employment, search for housing, and maintain sobriety. Once an individual begins to work, an occupancy fee must be paid. They must also complete a monthly budget and save for housing. The services that were provided in Phase One are also provided in the second phase.

Volunteer opportunities are available.

Hours
Intake hours are Monday through Sunday at 3:30pm. New applicants begin to line up at 3:15pm; everyone must be in the shelter by 5:00pm. Program operates Monday through Sunday, 4:00pm to 7:00am. Phone hours are Monday through Sunday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Homeless men.

Description
The Our House Family Temporary Housing Program serves children and their parents, as well as single women. The program’s goal is to move families and single women from homelessness into safe, stable and affordable housing.

No single men are permitted, however men with children are accepted.

Residents must be employable.
Cannot be a former resident of this shelter.
Those with substance abuse issues, severe mental illness, or a history of violent or criminal behavior generally cannot be accommodated, but may be considered on a case by case basis.
Must abide by all shelter rules.

Documents Required
Proof of identification, immunization records , and a TB test are required for admission to the shelter.

Description
The House of Ruth, INC. provides shelter for battered women with or without children in Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County. Services include domestic violence shelters and transitional housing. Single women and women from out of state are eligible; pregnant women will be considered. The shelter cannot accommodate women who are severely mentally ill.

The length of stay is determined on a case-by-case basis, but the average is 45 days for the emergency shelter and 6 months for the transitional shelter.

The program provides individual and group counseling, advocacy, TRO assistance, support groups, and special youth activities that assist children at the shelter with coping skills. Meals and clothing are also provided. Follow-up services for residents who complete the program are provided through the outreach program.

Volunteer opportunities are also available, if anyone wants to help.

For women and their children in Los Angeles County and the San Bernardino County. Single women and women from out of state are eligible; pregnant women will be considered. The shelter is unable to accommodate women who are severely mentally disturbed. The shelter accepts children up to the age of 18. There are no geographic restrictions.

Description
The Bridge to Home provides homeless support services in terms of providing bathing facilities and a Winter Shelter Program.

The shower facilities is available 4 times a week and there is no fee.

The Winter Shelter is open between November and March. 3 meals are provided daily at the shelter. Pick up points for the shelter service vary, please call for information The agency also offers case management services for those in need.

There are volunteer opportunities available for anyone who wants to help.

Description
The Lutheran Social Service provides bathing, mail, and laundry facilities for homeless people. They also give clothing, food, case management, bus tokens, and other services.

They also offer a cold weather shelter for homeless people in winter (December 1st through March 31st). Clients are supposed to check in between 5:45pm and 8:00pm and leave by 7:00am the following morning.

For anyone who wants to help, there are volunteer opportunities available.

Valley Oasis

Description
The Valley Oasis provides shelter for battered, single men, single women, women with children aged 18 or younger, men with children aged 18 or younger, LGBT people, emancipated minors, and people with hearing impairments.

The program prefers that people who are employed take a two-week leave from their jobs, however, exceptions can be made. The program accepts anyone who has been abused by a spouse, partner, parent or adult child. The shelter also accepts pregnant women. The maximum length of stay is 60 days.

The shelter's services include food, clothing, and transportation. Residents participate in individual and family counseling, support groups, parenting classes, and special programs for children. Support services for residents include TRO assistance, welfare advocacy, and medical and legal assistance. Support groups, individual and group therapy and case management are also available to former residents.

The agency also provides transitional housing programs.

Volunteers are appreciated, if anyone is interested.
