Description
The program provides emergency food to anyone who resides in Claremont, Upland and Pomona, including people who are homeless. Services include formula/baby food, commodity supplemental food program, and occasional emergency food assistance.

The program provides a bag or box of groceries which contains canned goods, cereal, powdered milk, cheese, butter and beans to last four to five days. Infant formula and baby food are also provided, depending on donations. The program also provides USDA surplus food every month to people whose income is below the Federal Poverty Level. People may be assisted once every 30 days. The amount of groceries provided varies with family size.

Low-income individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles County. Services are restricted to Service Planning Areas (SPAs) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8. People must have a monthly income under $1,700.

Documents Required
ID, proof of residency in Los Angeles County, proof of income, and a nutrition screening completed by a dietician or medical provider at their own health care facility or have a signed nutrition education form from AIDS Project Los Angeles.

First-time clients must provide a medical diagnosis form.

Eligibility
For low-income people in the Santa Clarita Valley including people who are homeless or homebound. Services are restricted to Acton, Agua Dulce, Canyon Country, Castaic, Green Valley, Newhall, Piru, Saugus, Val Verde and Valencia residents.

Household income no more than 150% of the poverty level as published by the USDA Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP).

All clients must be actively searching for employment unless disabled or retired.

Picture ID such as CADL or CAID, birth certificates or immunization cards for all children, proof of income and proof of residence such as a rent receipt or utility bill, job search information or documents to confirm disability are required at the time of the first interview.

The Palmdale Seventh-day Adventist Church Community Service offers free food for those who live in Antelope Valley, including Lake Los Angeles, Little Rock Lancaster, and Palmdale. Description
The South Antelope Valley Emergency Services provides free groceries four times per fiscal year for families who don't qualify for food stamps or are waiting for food stamps to be approved. Each order of food provides three meals for seven days. You can only receive assistance after 30 days of each order. After the initial order, recipients must show an extra expense that prevented the household from purchasing food during that month, such as an unanticipated auto repair bill or medical expense.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program provides a small food order to supplement the entire monthly food needs of individuals and families. Assistance can be received every two weeks.

The Traditional Senior Food Program provides food once per month to seniors 62 and older who are on Social Security/SSI, have been denied food stamps, and live independently. The amount of food given is intended to significantly supplement the recipient's monthly food needs.

The Second Senior Food Program is for seniors 60+ that meet income guidelines and is available even if you live with extended family. The food order is provided once a month and the extended household can still participate in other eligible food programs. This food order is intended to provide supplement the senior’s monthly food needs.

There are also meaningful opportunities for volunteers, students, and low-income adult and senior job trainees to serve their community.
