The Initiative Inglewood provides rent payment and deposit assistance to veterans of all ages and genders.
Volunteer opportunities are available for those who want to help.
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Must be a Veteran at poverty level, or 30% AMI (Area Median Income) and those qualify for services through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families grant.
Must not have dishonorable discharge.
Must have a 3 day notice or eviction.

The South Los Angeles Center offers rent payment assistance, utility payment assistance, and mortgage payment assistance for anyone with HIV or AIDS who can't pay their rent because of the disease.
Volunteer opportunities are available for anyone who wants to help.
Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 7:00pm.
Many services are restricted to people who are HIV or who have AIDS; age and income restrictions apply for some services; some are targeted to gay and bisexual men.
Proof of diagnosis,
Proof of income (not required for cash jobs),
Proof of residence (within last 3 months), copy of mortgage statement or lease/rental agreement (cancelled checks and US postal money orders accepted for clients that live with or are related to the owner of the property) to their first appointment.

The Community Assistance Department provides utility bill payment assistance for those who need it. Assistance will pay up to $100 per household ($200 for all electric households).
Assistance is available once every 12 months.
Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Household income earnings cannot exceed the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Proof of income, proof of residence and a current or delinquent utility bill.
Examples of delinquent bills are discontinuance of service notice, urgent notice, extension notice, final call notice, 48-hour notice, disconnect notice, overdue payment notice, shut-off notice and closing bill.
Bills cannot be more than 2 months old.
Volunteer Opportunities, Electric Payment Assistance

The Sieman Family Youth and Community Center provides electric payment assistance. The program starts in February and goes on until the money is gone. People are assisted once every year. Customers of the Department of Water & Power are not assisted.
They also provide gas assistance in the same way they provide electric assistance.
There are volunteer opportunities available for anyone who wants to help.

For anyone who are in need of help. Customers must be
- residential customers of Southern California Edison
- residential customers of Southern California Gas
Clients can only be assisted for once every 12 months.

The Los Angeles Community Service Center and & Family Source Center offers services such as rent payment assistance, rent deposit payment assistance, mortgage payment assistance, electric payment assistance, housing search assistance, job search assistance, and financial counseling to homeless veterans or veterans at risk of homelessness.
The case management program helps with critical needs services including accessing food, health clinics, applying for benefits, and obtaining household supplies.
Volunteers and donations are welcome.
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. Evenings and Saturdays by appointment.
The hotlines operate Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day.
Homeless veterans, or veterans who are risk of homelessness in Los Angeles County.
LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program)
Eligible community residents get financial help to pay their utility bills. It is available through our Los Angeles Community Service Center.
