Description
The St. Charles Borromeo Service Center provides free clothing, toiletries, layettes for pregnant women; blankets and sleeping bags are available on a limited basis. Services are directed at the San Fernando Valley homeless population. Service can only be received once every 30 days.

Household items are also available and include goods such as furniture, small household items, towels, sheets, blankets, and toys/games. Availability depends on donations.

Volunteers and donations are greatly appreciated.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9:00 - 11:45 am and Sundays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
No Saturday hours during the months of July and August.

The program provides homeless support services for people 12 through 24 years who are in the Hollywood area. Services include certificates and forms assistance, clothing, sack lunches/dinners, specialized information and referral, and temporary mailing addresses. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to people in the Hollywood area. There are no geographic restrictions. Certificates and forms assistance includes assistance with obtaining birth certificates, ID's, and social security cards. Legal counseling is provided once a week by attorneys from Public Counsel. Specialized information and referral is provided and includes referrals for medical services, shelters and additional support services. A mobile health clinic is available weekly; this service is provided by Children's Hospital and Saban Free Clinic. A meals and a snack are provided daily; individuals may come every day.

The foundation operates thrift shops for people of all ages in Los Angeles County. There are no geographic restrictions. Clothing for interviews are available through a voucher program and clients must be approved before clothing is issued.

Eligibility
Walk in for most services. Referrals are required from a service agency for the clothing voucher program. To receive clothing a written referral with agency letter head is required and must contain clients name, a brief summary of their need (no demographics), name of person making the referral and their phone number. When approved, clients are required to pick-up vouchers at the corporate office and a thrift store is located across the street.
