Description
The Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church provides free food for families and adults aged 55 and over. Services include groceries and a meal. Services are targeted, but not restricted to, the Spanish-speaking community.

The typical bag/box of groceries contains items such as rice, beans, butter, flour, powdered milk, and bread. Canned and boxed goods, formula, and baby food are sometimes available. The amount given depends on family size. The frequency of service is based on individual and family need and usually ranges from weekly to monthly.

Intake and distribution hours for emergency food assistance are Monday through Friday, 5:00pm to 6:30pm.

Eligibility
Low-income people, families and seniors, ages 55 and older, who primarily lives in the 90012 zip code area, including people who are homeless.

People who live outside of 90012 are given emergency groceries on a one-time only basis and referred to a resource in their area.

Documents Required
Picture ID for the head of household and proof of residence, such as a utility or rent receipt, are required.

Description
Weekly Food Basket Program. Food baskets contain various perishable items as well as toiletries with a minimum value of $100.00 per basket.

On average, 50 baskets are distributed every Wednesday to low-income families who are living in SRO’s and hotels in the Greater Los Angeles area. Each basket feeds an entire family and provides eight meals to provide low-income households the food they need to maintain adequate nutritional levels. Baskets for large size families of more than four individuals are also accommodated.

The soup kitchen provides a hot meal for anyone in Los Angeles County who attends a mandatory chapel service. Services include meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The mission primarily serves homeless people in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. There are no geographic restrictions.

Breakfast is served Monday through Saturday, first come, first served, to 100 people at 5:00am;.

Lunch is served Monday through Saturday, 12:00pm and 1:00pm;

Dinner is served Monday through Saturday at 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
