Foster Children's Resource Center

Description
The program provides clothing and personal goods to foster children in the San Fernando Valley and Antelope Valley. Services include baby clothing and clothing. Children may visit the center twice annually. Service is restricted to children who have been placed by L A County Department of Children's and Family Services in licensed foster homes or with relative caregivers in the San Fernando Valley.
New clothing for children of all ages, from newborns to age 18 years is available. Clothing given to children includes layette sets, undergarments, jackets, jeans, t-shirts, sweats and one full week's worth of school clothing. The center also gives children backpacks, books and toys as well as a personal grooming kit. Some used clothing is also available.

Hours
Tuesday, 9:30am to 4:30pm; Thursday, 1:00 to 4:30pm; and Saturday, 9:30am to 12:00pm. Thursday availability varies; call for availability.

Call the agency for an appointment. Clients and caregivers must present a referral form provided by Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

The program provides homeless support services for people 12 through 24 years who are in the Hollywood area. Services include certificates and forms assistance, clothing, sack lunches/dinners, specialized information and referral, and temporary mailing addresses. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to people in the Hollywood area. There are no geographic restrictions.
Certificates and forms assistance includes assistance with obtaining birth certificates, ID's, and social security cards. Legal counseling is provided once a week by attorneys from Public Counsel.

Specialized information and referral is provided and includes referrals for medical services, shelters and additional support services. A mobile health clinic is available weekly; this service is provided by Children's Hospital and Saban Free Clinic.

A meals and a snack are provided daily; individuals may come every day.

Services are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 10:00am to 11:30am and 1:00pm to 3:00pm; Thursday, 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Walk in for service, or to get a lunch or dinner.
