Description
The Anita May Rosenstein Campus offers transitional housing for lesbian, gay, transgender, and bisexual people 18 to 24. Couples are allowed, but pregnant women, substance abusers, and violent people aren't. They provide three meals a day, and guests must look for work or go to school, and follow house rules, like no drugs or alcohol. Other services include case management, work and school opportunities, counseling, and independent life skills.

They also provide a day shelter for gay, lesbian, transgender, and bisexual people 12 to 24 in the Hollywood area, and they also have shower facilities, outreach programs, clothing, and toiletries.

Volunteer opportunities are available for people who want to help.

Description
The Los Angeles Community Center offers a homeless shelter for single women, pregnant women, adults with jobs, large families, single mothers, and their children 17 or younger, and women younger than 18 can be accepted if they are legally emancipated. Disabled women are allowed if they can care for themselves and their children if they have any. They provide short or long-term shelter, from one month to two years. Services they provide are counseling, case management, life skills training, and other services. They also provide food, toiletries, hygiene supplies, and household supplies.

For the youth shelter, they offer a runaway shelter for people 10 to 17 and they accept people who have been physically or sexually abused. Permission from a parent or guardian is necessary, but if unobtainable, a social worker can give permission. Youths can stay up to two weeks, and they must follow the rules. They also provide food, toiletries, hygiene supplies, and household supplies.

There are volunteer opportunities available for those who want to help.

Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. Evenings and Saturdays by appointment.
The hotlines operate Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day.

The Daybreak Center and Shelter provides homeless support services for mentally-ill women in West Los Angeles and Santa Monica, including the undocumented and/or homeless. Services include bathing facilities, laundry facilities, life skills education groups, public internet access sites, and temporary mailing address.

The emergency shelter and transitional shelter each have a length of stay of 14 days and six months respectively. The shelters have a 20-bed capacity and provide bedding, linen, shower and laundry facilities, and three meals per day. Clothing is also available and residents must participate in case management.

If you want to help, volunteer opportunities are available and appreciated.

Description
The Annenberg Service Center provides homeless support services for single men and women, including those who are undocumented and those who are in or have been evicted recently evicted from housing in Santa Monica. Recently evicted families are referred to city programs that can assist them.

The agency provides specialized transitional housing through its recuperative care, parolee and veterans programs and referrals are required for these programs from county hospitals, social service agencies, HIV/AIDS-related agencies, the parole board or the Veterans Administration.

A special outreach project is provided for dually diagnosed, mentally ill substance abusers that provides case management and counseling.

If you are a chronically homeless veteran with at least three co-occurring disabilities (mental illness, substance abuse, medical and/or physical disability), you're eligible for the veterans outreach program which provides case management.

There is also a Night Lite outreach program which provides youth on the streets in the West Los Angeles area with food bags and referrals to social service programs.

If you're a woman, Daybreak is a mental health drop-in center and also provides short-term transitional housing.

Safe Haven is a transitional-housing shelter for anyone who is chronically homeless or mentally ill.

Turning Point is a transitional-housing shelter and can provide for up to 55 homeless men and women. Individuals can stay for up to 18 months, must participate in case management services, and save at least 60% of his or her income.

The Swashlock program provides 75 to 100 homeless individuals with a locker, daily showers, and weekly laundry room services. The program does not discriminate those who are employed and homeless. Participants are encouraged to take part in case management services.

The People Concern relies on the generosity of volunteers to provide these services. Volunteers and donations are widely appreciated.
