The Angel Step Inn provides shelter for single women 18 and older, and single mothers, including substance abusers. Maximum stay is 45 days; after 30 days, women may leave to go find proper housing. Women who work are requested to take a leave of absence from their job during their stay. Residents are expected to participate in shelter activities and household chores.

The Womenshelter of Long Beach provides shelter for domestic violence victims of both genders and ages. Male children 17 and younger and female children of any age are allowed. Women are asked to take a leave of absence from their jobs while at the shelter. People can stay 30-45 days. Three meals and bedding are given. Guests have to participate in a case management program, observe the 5:30 pm curfew, and follow shelter rules. Other services they offer include parenting education, counseling, and different services.

Description
The Los Angeles Community Center offers a homeless shelter for single women, pregnant women, adults with jobs, large families, single mothers, and their children 17 or younger, and women younger than 18 can be accepted if they are legally emancipated. Disabled women are allowed if they can care for themselves and their children if they have any. They provide short or long-term shelter, from one month to two years. Services they provide are counseling, case management, life skills training, and other services. They also provide food, toiletries, hygiene supplies, and household supplies.

For the youth shelter, they offer a runaway shelter for people 10 to 17 and they accept people who have been physically or sexually abused. Permission from a parent or guardian is necessary, but if unobtainable, a social worker can give permission. Youths can stay up to two weeks, and they must follow the rules. They also provide food, toiletries, hygiene supplies, and household supplies.

There are volunteer opportunities available for those who want to help.

The Center for Pacific Asian Family offers transitional shelter for abused women, with or without children. Children may be up to 17 years old; single women and mothers are accepted if in immediate danger. The average stay is six weeks.

They also accept women in emergency shelter for domestic violence or sexual assault. These applicants must be referred by their emergency shelter caseworker. People can stay up to one year.

Both shelter programs provide parenting classes, life skills, support groups, and other services. The women must be prepared to find work, attend job training, or attend classes. Any shelter resident must follow the communal living rules and shelter safe policies.

Su Casa provides emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence. They accept single men, single women, pregnant women, and their children of both genders and all ages. People with disabilities are accepted if they are ambulatory and can care for themselves. The emergency shelter is for 30 days. People are requested to take a leave of absence from their jobs during this time, and their children will attend a local school. Residents are expected to help with the daily chores and follow shelter rules and curfew. They provide clothing, food, and linens as needed.

Services include TRO assistance, individual counseling, group counseling, finding housing, financial assistance, and other services.

They have a transitional shelter for people who have finished the emergency program and it lasts six months. During the transitional program, adults can work and children can attend a public school. Residents must have a source of income and pay a security deposit which will be returned up on leaving, minus the cost of any repairs due to damage they caused. They are also placed on a budget to save 50% of their income. Savings are given to him or her up on leaving.

Their drop-in center offers general domestic violence information and resources. Anyone needing help can go and receive services such as counseling or assistance with finding shelter.
