Description
The Action Food Pantry offers free food programs such as ongoing and occasional. The ongoing program provides assistance twice per month for older adults and people with disabilities, and four times per month for homeless people.

Ongoing food distribution is once a month as long as they have need. Seniors and people with disabilities can come in twice a month. The homeless can come in once a week.

Description
The Church of the Redeemer provides an ongoing free food program for the low-income, homeless, disabled, elderly, and those in an emergency need. A one time only food-assistance program is available to people who are homeless or are in need.

The agency provides a bag of groceries, which usually contains items such as canned goods, fruit, vegetables, rice, beans, bread, and juices. The food lasts approximately two or three days, and the amount of food varies on family size. Thanksgiving baskets are also provided for participants of the ongoing food program.

Donations and volunteers are greatly appreciated. The program provides assistance to over 150 families every month.

Hours
Intake hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 12:00pm. Distribution hours are the last Saturday of each month, 7:00am to 9:00am.

Description
The program provides emergency food to anyone who resides in San Dimas and La Verne , including people who are homeless. Services include formula/baby food, commodity supplemental food program, and occasional emergency food assistance.

The program provides a bag or box of groceries which contains canned goods, cereal, powdered milk, cheese, butter and beans to last four to five days. Infant formula and baby food are also provided, depending on donations. The program also provides USDA surplus food every month to people whose income is below the Federal Poverty Level. People may be assisted once every 30 days. The amount of groceries provided varies with family size.

The Monrovia Utility Center offers a food pantry for people in need. They give out a seven to 10 day supply of food based on family size once a month, but every week people can go back and get fresh produce, dairy items, and bakery items. Bag lunches for homeless are available three times a week.

Eligibility includes low-income requirements that are based on 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

First-time applicants have a face-to-face interview with staff; CADL or CAID for the head of household, ID for all family members, proof of residence and proof of income are required at the time of the interview. People who are homeless must provide identification.
