Description
We are a social service agency dedicated to meeting the needs (including shelter and clothing) of homeless women and children. We use education (referring residents to local GED, college and job training programs, as well as education in basic life skills), employment, and life-skills training to help women move from homelessness to independent living Provides the following: Transitional shelter for 3-6 months, transitional housing for up to 2 years, residential and non-residential case management, mentoring and referrals. We provide food, clothing and furniture for our residents.[br]

Shelter staff can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Friday 8-7p
Saturday and Sunday 10-6p

Eligibility
Homeless women and women with children.[br]
Applicants must have at least 90 days of sobriety.
Applicants fleeing domestic violence situations must have a current order of protection.

Documents Required
Prospective clients should call the shelter to complete a phone intake. The client will then be provided with an application as well as referrals to other agencies. Once application is complete, an interview is typically scheduled within one week of application. There is often a waiting list.

Maristella promotes self-sufficiency of single women and mothers with children in Lake County who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness with rental subsidies, security deposits, hotel vouchers, emergency food and clothing, employment and apartment location assistance, and educational services Maristella assists families in emergency or short term situations.

Eligibility
Women and children who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless. Need to be employed for at least the past two weeks. Documentation required is an apartment lease, proof of employment, social security card, drivers license or I.D.[br]
