There are many homeless services in the Fairbanks, AK region, including shelters of all types, bathing facilities, and mail facilities. And, if you want to help, there are also volunteer opportunities available.
The Fairbanks Rescue Mission serves the poor, needy, homeless and transient population of Fairbanks and the Interior.
The Mission operates an emergency shelter for men, women and children. They also have a long term recovery for both men and women for addictions or other life altering situations.
Clients at the shelter are provided 3 hot meal daily, a bed every night, clothing and a safe environment for a period not exceeding 180 days from the initial check in date.
Individuals that stay beyond 30 days will be required to choose a program. The 30-60-90 Transitional Program assist clients to transition from homeless to live outside the Mission.
