URBANDALE FOOD PANTRY is a non-profit DMARC food pantry which offers food and personal items to residents of Urbandale and Windsor Heights.
FREE HEALTH SCREENINGS in collaboration with Polk County Health Department; types of screenings will change each month - blood sugar, blood pressure, bone density, HIV and sexually transmitted, and many more. Available to residents of Urbandale, Windsor Heights, Clive, Johnston, and Grimes.
DONATIONS are welcome; including cash, personal grooming items and food Food can also be dropped in red barrels located in Urbandale grocery stores or at DMARC (3816 36th Street, Suite 202 Des Moines IA).
CLOTHING CLOSET serves Johnston and the Johnston School District.
FOOD PANTRY is offered once per month to eligible families and community members in Johnston and the Johnston School District. Includes personal grooming items. SNAP (food stamps) assistance sign-up is also available on-site.
JUMP is a school-based community mentoring program which matches Johnston students in grades 5-12 with an adult mentor Chris Wilson, 515-986-2007.
DONATIONS of gently used clothing, food and any personal hygiene items are accepted.
