There are many homeless services in the Cropwell, AL region, including shelters of all types, bathing facilities, and mail facilities. And, if you want to help, there are also volunteer opportunities available.
The Health Services Center offers an emergency shelter for individuals who are HIV+, have low to no income, and homeless or at immediate risk of being homeless.
Individuals can only stay for up to 60 days, and daily case-management support is provided. While in the shelter, residents participate in programs to improve their health while developing a plan for stable housing.

The Family Promise of Birmingham provides a shelter to homeless families, single men with children, single women with children (one must be a male child 10 or older), and guardians with children in the Birmingham area. Clients do not move in the day as the inquiry.

Interviews and intakes are completed Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. by appointment only.
Eligibility
Parents or legal guardian with children. Must have no untreated mental health issues or active domestic violence. All adults must pass a thorough criminal background screening, as well as a drug test.

I.D., Social Security Cards, and birth certificates for all members.
