Description
The Central Coast Rescue Mission provides a substance abuse recovery program that is for eight to 12 months, residential Christian based, and smoke free facility. The program offers individual counseling, case management, and classes. In addition to the classes, there's a variety of vocalization and skill development in their thrift shop and Mission. For enrollment, an in-person interview is required and an appointment is necessary.

If you'd like to volunteer, all you have to do is fill out an online application.

Eligibility
Men only, and it's a recovery shelter. To make an appointment, just call the mission.

Documents Required
It's recommended to bring your social security card, driver's license or ID, and a current T.B card.

Description
Men's Homeless Shelter
Religion-oriented shelter. Alcohol test and TB test required (TB tests provided for free at Las Islas Clinic) upon intake. If your TB test is negative you can sleep inside. If your TB test is positive, you can stay but you must sleep on the patio (sleeping bags and mats are provided). There is a 10 day maximum stay; if you want to stay longer you must vacate for at least five days after every period.

Substance Abuse Recovery Program
There is also a 10 month substance-abuse recovery program that is bible-based and free. Classes in the program include Christian 12 Steps, anger management, culinary, computer skills, and vocational training opportunities.

Volunteer opportunities are available to those who would like to help the homeless and/or those in recovery.

Hours
Must arrive by 4:30pm to be considered for intake on Mondays to Thursdays.

For the substance abuse shelter interviews are from 10:30am to 11:30am on Mondays to Thursdays.

Eligibility
Adult males.
First come, first served.

Documents Required
For the shelter you need a valid photo ID and proof of TB test.

For the substance-abuse recovery program you need a valid ID and TB test card.
