Description
The Loaves & Fishes II provides free food to low-income and/or homeless individuals and families who in the certain Van Nuys zip codes.

Applicants who don't qualify as low-income or who live outside the geographical area served receive assistance only once and are referred to other services.

Individuals and families who are homeless can only apply for assistance every 10 days. Those who have homes can only apply every 30 days. Exceptions can be made based on individual need.

A typical bag of food may include canned goods, bread, and dry boxed goods. The agency also provides infant formula, baby food, diapers and milk when available. An effort is made to accommodate special diets when possible. The amount of emergency food provided varies according to family size.

Clients who receive food assistance may also receive special holiday food baskets, if available.

Volunteers are appreciated.
