Description
The St. Francis Center provides occasional food assistance where they give a bag of free groceries to people in need.

Their soup kitchen offers free hot breakfast five days a week for homeless people, single men, and single women.

For anyone who wants to help, there are volunteer opportunities available.

Hours
Intake hours for Food Assistance: Tuesday, 10:00am to 12:00pm
Food Distribution: Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, 11:00am to 12:30pm.

Brown Bag Program: Friday 11:00am – 1:00 pm [for senior guests over the age of 60]

Soup Kitchen: Monday 7:30am-8:00am; Tuesday-Friday 7:30am-9:00am & Saturday 8:30am-10:00am

Eligibility
For low-income families who are in downtown Los Angeles, including people who are homeless. Service is restricted to the following zip codes for groceries: 90006, 90007, 90011, 90013, 90014, 90015, 90017, 90021, and 90057, 90220, 90221, 90222, 90223 and 90224; there are no geographic restrictions for the breakfast program.

Documents Required
Food Assistance: ID, proof of residence and proof of income are required.
Senior Brown Bag Program: ID, proof of age and proof of residence are required.
Soup Kitchen: ID or registration is not required.

Description
The St. Francis Center offers 10 minute showers and hygiene kits, which include basic toiletries, towels, and clean underwear and socks. Facilities are limited and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Their mail facilities are for homeless people and they provide a temporary mailing address.

There are volunteer opportunities available for anyone who wants to help.

Monday: 7:30am – 2:00pm; Tuesday: 7:30am – 12:00pm; Friday: 9:30am-10:30am & Saturday: 6:00am-8:00am

Mail Distribution
Monday 8:00am to 8:15am; Tuesday through Friday, 9:00am to 9:15am.

Eligibility
For homeless individuals who are in the garment district of Los Angeles. There are no geographic restrictions. Each guest must sign up for a time slot. Spaces are limited and are given on a first come-first serve basis.
